Top West Australian reinsman Gary Hall Jr received a 13-day suspension after winning the Group 1 WA Derby on board Chicago Bull at Gloucester Park last Friday night.
Stewards opened an inquiry into interference caused when Hall shifted Chicago Bull outwards about 1100m from the Derby finish.
“Gary Hall Junior moved Chicago Bull to a three-wide position and forced out Sprinter,” Racing And Wagering WA chief harness racing chief steward Carl Coady said.
“He has received a 13-day suspension which begins after next Friday’s Gloucester Park meeting.”
Chicago Bull is a son of Woodlands Stud’s Bettors Delight who also sired second placegetter lets Chase The Dream and fourth place getter Cant Refuse.
The group 1 classic was a clean sweep for Woodlands with Ideal Tyson who finished third by their other star stallion American Ideal.
