Bathurst Friday Night – Race 2 Number 10 Imnoracinggal – The Belinda McCarthy stable has a big representation at Melton on Friday evening but has also slipped this mare to Bathurst. The daughter of Major In Art has had two runs back from a short let-up and this race looks the easiest race she has contested this campaign. Won two races at Penrith late last year in fine style and looks set to get a nice run here.
Menangle Saturday Night – Race 8 Number 11 Our Dainty Lady – The Jarrod Alchin trained mare returns to Sydney after making an error at Melton last time. Her two prior runs in Victoria were very good and she looks set to receive a soft run through from the second row. Has more straight line speed than her rivals and should she get to the outside in the straight and be within striking distance she should be winning.
Newcastle Saturday Night – Race 2 Number 9 Ima Grumpy Possum – The daughter of Art Official has had two runs for her new trainer Mark Callaghan and despite starting in the market on both occasions failed. Stick with the four-year-old mare because this races looks easier than her last start second and she will appreciate the drop back to racing her own sex. Expect her to put a few together and her versatility is a plus in this field.
Muswellbrook Sunday Afternoon – Race 4 Number 4 Starzzinthenight – Is looking for her first win in seven runs but has been knocking on the door with three seconds at her past three runs. Chased home Spicy Stride at Newcastle last start and does possess good gate speed so should be able to take advantage of the front row draw. Her last victory was at Tamworth when she led and rated 1:56.4 from barrier five. If she finds the lead at Muswellbrook they’ll have a tough time of running her down.
