1Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s (RWWA) Chief Harness Handicapper Warren Wishart has released the fields for Friday night’s opening round of heats for the 2016 Perth TABtouch Inter Dominion at Gloucester Park.

Heat one sees defending champion Lennytheshark tackle local star Beaudiene Boaz and the Emma Stewart trained Guaranteed, as well as in-form pacer Our Jimmy Johnstone.  Libertybelle Midfrew has been withdrawn from the series after sustaining an injury, allowing Stunnin Grin to gain a start.

Hunter Cup winner, Smolda from the All Stars stable for Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen, has drawn to race against Ohoka Punter first-up for Gary Hall after a scintillating trial win two weeks ago at Byford, and last year’s consolation winner Major Crocker.

While series favourite, Hectorjayjay, currently $3.20 at the top of the TABtouch fixed odds market, will take arguably the strongest heat against last start Smoken Up winner Bling It On, Kaikoura Cup winner Franco Nelson, last year’s placegetter Flaming Flutter and the outstanding Victorian Restrepo.

The barrier draw will be conducted in JP’s Sports Bar at Gloucester Park 9.30am (WA time) with all welcome to attend. Gloucester Park will live stream the draw on the Gloucester Park Facebook page – www.facebook.com/gloucesterpark
