BB1Freshman sire Shadyshark Hanover notched up his third induvial winner for the season when Hashtag proved too strong for his rivals in the Saddleworld Shepparton Pace on Thursday August 18.

Hashtag despite being out of the draw started favourite after his close up  last start second to smart filly All Done Up at Bendigo earlier this month.

Trained by Lara Crossland the two-year-colt has always shown above average ability but bad barrier manners has cost him victory until the Shepparton win.

Out of a Badlands Hanover mare called Elvira Bromac,Hashtag looks to have more wins installed as he matures.

Shadyshark Hanover from just 34 live foals from his first crop 11 have raced with 3 winners.

Shady Past, the dam of Shadyshark Hanover, has been one of the gems of the American stud book. She is the dam of seven individual winners, with seven in 1:55, two in 1:50 and five $100,000 earners including Sharky Osborne 1:49.8 ($867,681), a full brother to Shadyshark Hanover.

By No Nukes, Shady Past was out of the world champion racemare in Forbidden Past, one of the finest daughters of a champion sire and broodmare sire in Albatross. Forbidden Past, who won 19 races and $276,185, retired as the second fastest female pacer of all-time with a time trial record of 1:51.4 and at the stud left 12 winners with two in 1:55 and nine in 2:00.

Goodtime Lodge near Colac also obtained Major In Art to stand this season the son of Artsplace is enjoying one of his best seasons he has sired 71 winners in Australia this season headed by South Australian Derby winner Brallos Pass who also finished a close up third in the Vicbred Super Series.

Major In Art has had 7 induvial two-year-old winners this season Including Our Major Day second in the APG Brisbane Final and unbeaten South Australian Wroxton Steel.

It’s no surprise as Major In Art belongs to one of the most distinguished families in the American Stud Book. He is out of the Jate Lobell mare Miami Spice 3, 1:54.8

Town Tattler 1:54.6 ($131,950), the dam of Miami Spice, was by Big Towner from Tona Hanover, by Tar Heel, and is the dam of six in the 1:55 list.
